Compensation and Benefits
The salary for a MARCOS commando is determined by the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). The basic pay starts at around INR 25,000 per month. Additional allowances include a Ship Driving Allowance (INR 8,500 to 10,000), a MARCOS Allowance (INR 25,000), and various other allowances based on the posting areas. In difficult regions, they receive an additional 20% of their basic pay. Allowances also vary based on postings in highly active areas, field areas, and designated “peace areas.”
