Citizenship Amendment Act: नागरिकता संशोधन कानून (सीएए) को केंद्र की मोदी सरकार ने लागू कर दिया है। अब कोई भी गैर मुस्लिम भारत की नागरिकता प्राप्त कर सकता है। नागरिकता पाने के लिए आवेदन करने हेतु गृह मंत्रालय ने एक कानून बनाया है। मोदी समर्थक केंद्र के इस निर्णय की खूब सराहना कर रहे हैं। तो विपक्ष के कई बड़े चेहरों समेत कई लोकप्रिय हस्तियां इसकी आलोचना कर रही हैं। आलोचना की कड़ी में अब एक बड़ा नाम नेहा राठौर का जुड़ गया है।

मोदी सरकार के समर्थकों द्वारा दावा किया जाता है। CAA उन भारतीयों की घर वापसी के द्वार खोल देगा जो लोग 1947 में भारत विभाजन के वक्त पाकिस्तान और बांग्लादेश चले गए थे और उनका वहां शोषण किया जा रहा है। कानून के लागू होने से हिंदू, सिख, बौद्ध, जैन, पारसी और ईसाई समुदायों के कई लोगों जिनका अन्य देशों में उत्पीड़न हो रहा है वह अब भारत की नागरिकता प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।

Previously enamored by the term “chowkidar” (referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi), it appears they have now fallen for those wielding documents.
